How to Knit - Variations in Stitches

This article will show you how to combine knit and purl stitches to make patterns. It is created assuming you already know the basics of knitting. If not, please check out the How to Knit Tutorial.

Follow along and see how easy it is to actually do! Anyone can learn to knit and it's a great craft to know if you want to give handmade gifts! A simple large knitted rectangle is essentially an afghan. By combining the Knit and Purl stitches, you can create a wide variety of patterns.

I realize this is when knitting can get tricky. The best way to learn is to dive in and give it a try! Experiment and find what works best for you!
